Alright,so I’m really digging the new Apple iPod nano Graphite 6th Generation model. It’s definitely a hot product, and comes with some great, new features that definitely makes it a contender against any mp3 player out there.
First of all, the software is upgradeable now. You can simply connect it to iTunes and upgrade to access the newer features. These include the ability to navigate with large icons displayed one at a time, a choice of 18 different clock face designs, and the ability to track your steps, distance, pace, and time while exercising, without the need for a separate shoe sensor or receiver. It’s really cool.
Apple also redesigned it for music and Multi-Touch,making it smaller and lighter than ever before. The Multi-Touch display lets you experience your music in a new way. You can tap to play anything you want to hear. Swipe the Home screen to browse your music by songs, albums, artists, playlists, genres, or composers. You can also rearrange the icons on your home screen to organize your music to your liking.
It has a new built-in clip,so you can walk, run, ride, or dance with the unit on your sleeve, pocket, jacket, or bag. The awesome built-in rechargeable, lithium-ion battery gives you up to 24 hours of battery life, which is phenomenal.
The Nano also comes with the new “shake” technology, which allows you to just shake the Nano, and it shuffles to a different song in your music library. it comes with Genius mixmaster technology, which finds other songs on your Nano that go great together, and makes a Genius playlist for you. It finds more song combinations you wouldn’t have thought of yourself, rediscover songs you haven’t heard in a while, and find music you forgot you even had.
Another great feature I like about the new Nano,is the addition of the FM radio with touch dial. The tuner even shows the artist, song, or program you’re listening to. Yo can just tap to see the radio controls, flick the radio dial to change stations, and tap to set your favorites.
It also comes with something called, “Live Pause” that allows you to actually pause the radio song or show, and then tap it,again,to continue where you left off. You can rewind as far back as 15 minutes or fast-forward to catch up to the live broadcast. It’s just really freaking incredible.
The unit also doubles as a pedometer, meaning it keeps track of your walking steps. You can also create a daily step goal and check your progress when you upload all your data to the Nike+ website. If that weren’t enough,it also comes with an accessibility feature that helps people with disabilities enjoy music, audiobooks, and more.
it also comes with a VoiceOver feature, which is the world’s first gesture-based screen reader. It gives you the ability to touch the screen, and hear a description of the item under your finger, then double-tap, drag, or flick to control iPod Nano. Use the optional Apple Earphones with remote and mic to control your music without looking at the screen. VoiceOver tells you the name of the song or artist, and it speaks 29 different, freaking languages. It’s crazy.
You can also change the display to white on black for higher contrast, and it can be used on any application, along with the home screen. For hearing limitations,it also has a feature called Mono Audio, which routes audio into both earbuds so you can hear both channels in either ear. This product just totally rocks. The price range currently varies between $108.99 and $122.35 for the 8GB model. It’s a little higher for the 16GB model. You can get more info on it by Clicking Here.
